The problem with the cx-5 is it has the same engine as the cx-30. Otherwise it is pretty much perfect. The signature edition is packed with features and the ride is smooth. The engine though is underpowered and while it’s perfectly fine when you get up to speed, pulling away feels laborious.A 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers the Mazda CX-5 Akera tested.
